On the right porch were two editors from the Philadelphia Inquirer and from Blogfinger. Other “bloogers” were also on that porch.
On the other porch was a lawyer with educated company.
One summer, John and I were sitting on our porch, and a group of people walked by, admired the flowers and said, ” This is a happy porch.” Ever since then our porch is the happy porch—-even had someone paint a sign for us.
The first porches were probably those overhanging rock structures of prehistoric times where the locals came to discuss things like hunting, fishing and has anyone invented fire yet.
Nowadays these “porches” are just fine to sit under while sipping your favorite beverage, reading a book or conversing with a new friend who is occupying the rocker beside.
Porches are forever !
