Paris Olympics to start on July 26. But let’s look back to 1924 through the eyes of an artist.

Robert Delaunay at the Paris Olympics in 1924.  “Runners”. Prints of this can be found on-line.

By Paul Goldfinger, editor.   Blogfinger.net

This French artist and his wife were well known  in the French art scene.  The features that stand out include his use of colors and geometric  figures.

I see a strong sense of motion  appreciated  as this artist observed these Olympic runners.
