The only political sentiment today in the parade. Does she know what Hamas does to LGBTQ+? Paul Goldfinger photo.

We only attended the parade, but there will be a festival after this. The parade itself is a display of LGBTQ+ pride.
There were mostly gays in the parade, dressed in a flamboyant and revealing way, marching or riding or dancing or posturing. Handing out souvenirs like rainbow flags to the crowd.
There was a cacophony of sound: recorded music, yelling, shouting. laughing, and some live music.
The crowd was large on both sides of Cookman Ave. Most marchers and watchers seemed to be happy; having a good time. It was a joyous event.
Wiki: “A pride parade (also known as pride event, pride festival, pride march, or pride protest) is an event celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) social and self-acceptance, achievements, legal rights, and pride.”
So the parade itself is a fun event without much in the way of messaging, but I suspect that most of those who attended understand the meaning of it. More will be revealed at the festival.
We think we understand “pride,” but if any of you can provide some tangible understanding of “pride” we will post it.
