Our Yard Sale button is at the top of this home page. That is where you find the list of sellers and what they will be selling. The latter will be posted one week before the sale.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS.
We will be the fourth in a string of Saturdays in June 2024 including a Flea Market, a Craft Show, Art on the Porch, and us.
As always, this Yard Sale is a small town social event which will bring neighbors and visitors together for friendship, fun, good will, shopping rewards, and a tour of our amazing historic town . Come and experience our porch culture.
We are a walking and bicycling town. Parking will be easy that morning. Drive into town and bring your bike. Park anywhere and bicycle around the Grove. Downtown you can find eateries: coffee, bakery, Victoria Grill, and others.
And don’t forget our beach. Join our list of sellers, please email: Blogfinger@verizon.net. Include a cross street. You can submit a list of items for sale, but that will not be posted until one week before the sale.
Have a dunk and walk the boards while in town. Our beach will be open that day. Paul Goldfinger photograph–No telephoto lens needed. (2023)As always Blogfinger has created a list of sellers, addresses, and the items which they will be offering. See the yard sale tab at the top of this home page.
That page on the top of Blogfinger.net home page has been created for visitors and participants to learn about our event and find their way around town. The top page will be a town square for announcements, list of sellers, photos and music about the Grove, a map, and this walking sale.
We hope that some of you will offer to help. There will be advertising and social networking handled by Vince Cannavo (vcan416512). If you have some expertise in that, please contact Vince. You can reach Eileen and Paul at Blogfinger@verizon.net.
Pick up fliers at Chez Goldfinger 113 Mt. Hermon Way at Delaware. There will be a box of fliers on the porch. Take as many as you will use.
You can attach a flier to your front porch columns or into the front yard as they have done for the Art on the Porch events. (June 8) all over town. But not in the grassy strip or on poles around town. Ask any merchant who might help. They used to be a lot more willing.
If you are in the Art on the Porch event or know someone who is, keep the yard sign and convert it into a Yard Sale sign.
Any other help would be appreciated such as photographing the sales, going around to check for issues, and representing the sponsors.
Even making some music and performing around town would be great, and I recall Woody playing a cello in a marching band, so maybe more mobile instruments like an accordion player, kazoo prodigies, or even a mobile disk jockey would be fun. Or a resident inspired floor show with dancing girls.
And if you want another sort of experience, walk into A. Park via the boards, Founders Park bridge or NJ Avenue Bridge. They have many eateries and a big beach on the Asbury side of the Casino.
And if you have some other ideas which could help make the Town-Wide sale even more special, please step up. Our best result was when we had 65 addresses, the most in any other town around here.
