We all have diverse ways of enjoying the sights of Ocean Grove. Mine our views of the intergenerational scene– especially on our beaches.

Over years since the Blue Laws, I have realized –while times have changed– we need to solve contemporary problems still maintaining the quality of life we originally enjoyed in Ocean Grove.

I.M. Rader…………….I believe the picture says it all. Four children standing under a shady tree enjoying the moment. Are they watching the Swan boats? Maybe one or two or all four are daydreaming, or maybe they are just being kids in a park.
I don’t know about you, but I grew up in this town back when we had the Blue Laws. I love the ‘green areas’ and would hate to see a “garage site” take over parks.

As for parking—we all have to shift around mainly during the summer season. It can be a pain, now more than ever, due to some homeowners having anywhere from 2 to 4 cars.

I would much rather have a park, where memories are sometimes made, and children can play, than a parking lot or parking site…

Where will we park our cars in the future if we live here?

If CMA had any vision it would contemplate this seldom-used lot it owns –with an uninspiring view of Asbury Park–as a garage site for tenters, Auditorium attendees, etc. Of course, CMA can only contemplate the 1890’s and whether parking is part of “their mission.”
