This is a traditional gardening event by the Beautification Project in OG. We interviewed Jeannine Rudolph (left, blue gloves) who explained that they were digging up tropical perennials called Canna lillies. These bulbs will be stored away and then bought back in the spring for re-planting. Some will be available for Grover gardeners at the “Spring Fling” in town. They bloom June-October and they like full sun.
She explained that the “Victorians” loved gardening and they would bring back different species from their travels to plant in the Grove. The Cannas are historic.
