The video is astonishing. I hope the Wesley Lake Commission people did not lose their floating gardens, fountains, and geese lights,
Wesley Lake proper originally extended almost to the railroad tracks and was gradually filled, most recently in 1911 for the Bond St. extension. There were several instances where heavy rain caused the dam to break allowing the lake to empty into the ocean.
