Wesley Lake seems to have better water conditions than in the past. A few weeks ago, I was walking across the upper bridge when a gust of wind blew mist from the aeration fountain on my face. I was expecting to succumb to some awful disease, but suffered no ill effects. The Wesley Lake Commission people seem to be doing a good job. An early attempt to improve the water was the drilling of an artesian well at the head of the lake in 1886.
