Shark frenzy in the Bahamas…

April 10, 2023 by Blogfinger

Eileen Goldfinger photo in Freeport, Bahamas. April, 2023.  Click once to enlarge.  Blogfinger staff.

We were at a seafood restaurant called Pier One on the water in Freeport.  After dark, the workers  came out of the kitchen with all sorts of fish parts left as they prepared sushi.  They shouted “Feeding the sharks!”

They turned on lights  aimed into the water, and everyone crowded the rails.   These sharks know to hang around that area.  It is also a place where the container ships come by  and toss food into the water.  The sharks are Lemon sharks and they are about 7 feet long and very scary. They can weigh up to 500 pounds and can live up to 30 years.

Eileen was trying out her new camera, and her result is excellent.

Here is a theme from the movie Jaws by John Williams with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
