Hi Paul…

I went to the Race of Gentlemen today in Wildwood, NJ.  (Cars and motorcycles race on the beach at Wildwood)

It was a visual FEAST!!

Thought you would enjoy a couple of my shots.

Maybe we can organize some races here on the O.G. Beach this summer…I am sure that the Camp Meeting would love it!!

Hee..hee…….

Beach racing in the US started in 1903 in Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach, FL and continued to 1958. The beach was 500 feet wide with packed sand and was 27 miles long. Drive on beaches still exist primarily in parts of Volusia County, FL including Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and Ponce Inlet. I believe you can also drive on certain beaches in St Augustine.

I drive my street legal golf cart on the beach in Ponce Inlet and buy a yearly resident pass for $100 or thereabouts, it’s $20/day for non-residents. Great fun.
