After 11 years of organizing the springtime Town-Wide Yard Sale as a local event for Grovers to enjoy, we will be bowing out.
Our best year was in 2014 when we had 60 participants. Last year Neptune Township ran such an event which caused some confusion with ours.
This is a good event for a group of citizens to organize or perhaps a local organization like the Chamber.
If any of you do decide to take it over, let me know so that I can announce the plans, and you can lay claim to the idea as a citizen organized event, something which should be done more often in this town.
In the future, if any of you organize your own sale, let me know and we will post it here.
SAM COOKE “The Best Things in Life Are Free” or they were almost free at our yard sales.
Actually the best things at our sales were free: I’m referring to the fun of meeting fellow Grover’s walking and biking around our town.
Paul, First, thank you for your many years of coordinating the town-wide garage sale. I
have enjoyed this for many years as a seller, and as a buyer. I love the treasure hunt. and I love the opportunity to dispose of excess ‘stuff’ and turn it into cash. I hope someone else will rise to the occasion, it’s fun for all. Very Best, B
