Two croissants from ee holland sundries in Bradley Beach. Paul Goldfinger photographs. Blogfinger.net. 11/23/22

A tale of two croissants. Open view of the ee holland croissant. We scraped off some salt from the surface. This croissant is great served with butter and/or strawberry preserves. The interior is light with air pockets, but it is more dense (less fluffy) than the French version. The Bradley croissant is larger and not curved, but regardless of which continent you choose, they are both delicious.

We reviewed the ee holland sundries shop in June. And we discussed their croissants then as well.
As for which is better, Bradley Beach or Paris, it really is a matter of taste–they both are first class. The Bradley Beach version is, after all, better because we are not in France, and lucky for us we have that new fine bakery nearby.
Oh, the BB version is $5.00 each. ee holland tends to be a bit expensive. Their pies are $25.00, but excellence is worth it.
And, a croissant and coffee at Les Deux Magots is about $10.00.

And below is Josephine Baker singing in French. The song is “J’ai Deux Amours” (I have two loves). It is from her album “Careless Love.” That’s a good song for an album with that name.
