I discovered this latest chapter in the Ocean Grove Yogagate, Piergate and related gates story today when I checked NJ.com to see if there were any repercussions regarding the current OG secular/religious issues and I found an opinion piece by Rev. Doug Grote, a resident in the Grove, who has some strong opinions about these matters.
Here is a link so that you can read his Op-Ed yourself. His piece is called, “In Ocean Grove, a surprise gift of a cross shaped pier is truly unwanted.”
Another way to go is to visit NJ.com and look for the 3 little lines at the top left of the page. Look for “opinions” and then scroll down to find Rev. Grote’s opinion piece.
Now that a major media player is tuned into our Ocean Grove situation, we will lurk in the background and watch for developments. Perhaps the CMA will allow the Star-Ledger to interview Michael Badger, President.
The only thing I would say now is that we really don’t know how the residents of OG feel about the cross shaped “public thoroughfare” pier.
At least one social network site (NextDoor ) seems to indicate that there are those in town who are indifferent to the design issue.
Personally, I dislike the idea of it, but my blog Blogfinger.net has a long record of criticizing the policies of the CMA as they relate to the majority secular community of residents in town.
