Ocean Grove beach during a recent photo shoot. The photographer (shadow on the right) was using a telephoto lens, but why? Rear view will stay under wraps for now on Blogfinger. Photo taken from the OG pier. Blogfinger photo 7/22 ©
From Annie :
And this is from the CMA’s beach rules regarding “indecent exposure:”
The standard for the application of the terms “indecent exposure” and “inappropriate display “shall be generally accepted standard for the community of Ocean Grove in keeping with the stated purpose of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association being to provide and maintain “for members and friends of the United Methodist church, a proper, convenient and desirable permanent Camp Meeting Grounds and Christian seaside resort.”
So which standard shall be applied to this bathing suit? The CMA speaks of an “accepted standard for the community of Ocean Grove” but which “community” do they mean?
They say that they want the “generally accepted standard to be maintained for members and friends of the United Methodist Church.” And they want the OG beachfront to be a “proper convenient and desirable Camp Meeting Ground and Christian seaside resort.”
But why is the UMC having a say on this public beach and the boardwalk? And will their “Christian Seaside Resort” have its own beach rules?
Double talk and double standards only lead to diplopia (ie double vision,) confusing everybody.
So why not take all that gobbledygook out of the rules and leave beach dress to the individual who chooses what to wear, and besides, who gets to enforce these “standards? Nobody!
And what if there is no place to pin the badge on her suit? And how about Blogfinger posting the rear view? Who gets yelled at—me or her?
