Girls in their summer clothes during Sunday morning church service at the Boardwalk Pavilion.. A nice blend of secular and religious . Paul Goldfinger photo. 7/24/22
a. 700 Blogfinger hits on July 25. Most were looking at our CMA articles. We had visitors from 12 nations including China, Estonia, Ireland, Norway, Spain and others. Not too many comments, but at least we know that readers are interested.
We can see how many posts were shared with others and then the recipients came to the site by clicking on specific links. Most go to the home page. (Blogfinger.net) and scroll down. Obviously we don’t know which posts they are actually looking at.
b. Fireworks on Saturday, 9 pm, July 30, Middle Beach. Part of the CMA’s “All In” Praise Festival and Celebration. This follows 7 pm concert on the Beach Stage (near the pier).
c Bazaar. Auxiliary. Friday. July 29. 10 am. Auditorium Pavilion. (Pre-sale 5 pm Thursday. July 28).
d. The secular Jersey girls above are incongruous when set against the church service as they run by. But somehow, in 2022, the religious life in the Grove has continued to prevail over the classic Jersey Shore life .
For most of the Jersey Shore we have pretty girls, muscular guys, body surfing, beach foods, tattoos, rides, fun, rock and roll, beer, bars and more which is the typical Jersey Shore, but in the Grove, secular Shore life is squished by the church life. And the Jersey Shore culture doesn’t seem to have a chance.
That’s wrong and it’s weird in 2022.–it isn’t the 18th century anymore.
Look at it: Can it be fixed? It’s whatever the people want, and now the secular folks are apathetic and drifting, and the future of this town is uncertain.
