It’s summer in the Grove. The busiest times are the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August.
Gardens are in bloom, and traffic is often heavy. Pedestrians attract attention, especially if young and scantily clad, and all too often there are speeders on our streets. Drivers are easily distracted when gawking at the Victorian houses and clumps of visitors. Many tourists are here because every day there are some sort of events, many of which are created by the increasingly active Camp Meeting Association.
The tendency to go fast coupled with our narrow streets, often one-way, and with unpredictable stop signs, and inattentive aggresive drivers, plus bike riders and bad parking lead to increased risk of accidents
So be careful as we enjoy Ocean Grove in the summer.
