Caítriano Balfe is a 42 year old Irish actress who currently is appearing in director Kenneth Branagh’s movie Belfast. She plays a leading role as “Ma” in this film about the “troubles” in northern Ireland focusing on a family trying to survive and move on. She has been nominated for major awards for this role.
Belfast can be viewed to rent now on Amazon. The movie is nominated for a 2022 Academy Award as Best Picture. It is one of nine. It also is nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Actor as well as Best Screen Play and Best Director. The Oscars for 2022 will be on March 27, 2022.
Balfe is also known for her leading role in the TV series: Outlander.
