Dr. Murphy Sieg marches in the OG July 3, 2021 parade. She says, “You may rinse now.” Paul Goldfinger photo. Look at the photo. I think she is holding a Novocaine syringe—open wide!
This post first appeared last July. Since then the blushing dentist got married. Her name now is Dr. Murphy Ahern.
Until recently I had seen Dr. Sieg only with her mask on–knowing that she was fine just by seeing her eyes. Although I was not treated to her sparkling smile, I did notice that she was smart, personable, skillful, careful and gentle.
She is a graduate of the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine where she won honors. Below is the write-up from the Ocean Grove Family Dentistry group on Main Avenue. She practices now with Dr. Sarah Brevit.
This is the practice founded by the amazing professor of Grovarian dentistry Dale Whilden, now retired but still active in the OGCMA.
Dr. Murphy Sieg earned her D.M.D degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, she received several awards and honors including induction into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and the Brian D. Stone Memorial Award for volunteerism and caring for patients with special needs. While in dental school, Dr. Sieg was selected to participate in a service trip to provide dentistry for under-served Navajo communities in Arizona. She also helped fellow underclassmen as a tutor in dental school.
She was accepted in, and completed, the highly competitive Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s General Practice Dental Residency in Neptune, New Jersey. Dr. Sieg is an active member of The American Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association as well as the local Monmouth-Ocean County Dental Society.
A lifetime native of Monmouth County from Holmdel, Dr. Sieg enjoys spending time with family and friends and resides in Asbury Park. She is recently engaged to her fiancé, Zach and loves yoga, hiking, biking and going to the beach.
Good luck Dr. Sieg/Ahern—–Here’s a song for you:
