CAFRA permit was granted to OGNED on March 18, 2021.

November 29, 2021 by Blogfinger

Rainstorm in OG. Paul Goldfinger.   2021. The report speaks of “stormwater management” but no details how that would be handled to control pollution of Wesley Lake and Fletcher Lake.

By Paul Goldfinger, Editor  Blogfinger.net

The CAFRA individual permit was granted to the OG North End Development LLC on 3/18/21 by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Land Resource Protection.

We don’t know why the HOA indicated otherwise at the 11/27 HOA meeting or why there was no public notice when it occurred.

The permit is addressed to:  c/o Mr. Joel Brudner/Mr. William Gannon, 801 East Main Street, Belmar, NJ 07719.

Blogfinger has obtained the  7 page report.

The description says:

This document authorizes the construction of a mixed-use development consisting of a 5-story 40 room hotel, two multi- family 3-4 story buildings containing 39 dwelling units, 10 detached 2.5 story single family residences, and a first floor retail area, all constructed over an underground parking garage containing 140 spaces. This document also authorizes stormwater management and landscaping.

The permit is signed by Christopher Jones, Manager, Division of Land Resource Protection.

If you need clarification on any section of this permit or conditions, please contact the Division of Land Resource Protection’s Technical Support Call Center at (609) 777-0454.

The OG Historic Preservation Commission has yet to grant their approval to OGNED.  The permit says,:

Prior to construction of this project, the permittee shall provide the NJDEP Division of Land Resource Protection (DLRP) and Historic Preservation Office (HPO) with comment from the Neptune Township Historic Preservation Commission, for review regarding compliance with N.J.A.C. 7:7-9.34.

Below are a few quotes from the report:

    1. The permittee shall take all reasonable steps to prevent, minimize, or correct any adverse impact on the environment resulting from activities conducted pursuant to the permit, or from noncompliance with the permit.
    2. The permittee shall obtain all applicable Federal, State, and local approvals prior to commencement of regulated activities authorized under a permit.
      1. The permittee shall immediately inform the Department by telephone at (877) 927-6337 (WARN DEP hotline) of any noncompliance that may endanger public health, safety, and welfare, or the environment.
