There was one remaining farmer today, but she had considerable produce still including some excellent small tomatoes and Jersey corn. She said that they plant some produce to be fresh when these last few Saturdays appear.
They also do the Sunday market in Red Bank, and that one will also remain open until Thanksgiving.
The bread man also showed up. He has fine breads, cheeses, and Italian pastries.
And then we will see them again next spring. And meanwhile we can all enjoy the modern miracles of shipping and packing fresh foods (unless the damaged supply chain gets worse–it already is showing its face at Wegmans.)
