Special dogwood on Inskip. It’s in full bloom now

May 31, 2021 by Blogfinger

Scarlet Fire. Rutgers Japanese Dogwood. Photo by Janet Kaden.  93 Inskip Avenue, Ocean Grove.

“Hi Paul. I thought you might like to see this beautiful tree in full bloom. It’s a dogwood tree developed by the Rutger’s hybridization program. The blooms are spectacular this year.

“Those who are interested can stop by and see it in person. ”

Consider this a coming attraction for the People’s Garden Tour on June 20. If you want to show your garden, contact us at Blogfinger@verizon.net.  A lot should be in bloom that day.  Meet the gardeners.

Click on the tour tab at the top of our homepage.

It’s a lovely tree! I planted a dogwood in my yard 2 years ago. It’s begun blossoming this year. Mine are white.. They are such a delicate tree.
