American democracy requires that opinions be freely expressed without fear or intimidation.
Down in Florida, southwest, we see many American flags flying. One of our neighbors decided to express an opinion through a flag, while another hung a Biden flag. The Park management insisted that all political messaging be removed after the election so as not to upset anybody. This is inappropriate. We can’t be afraid of disagreeing.
And we need a sense of humor while disagreeing. A neighbor and I thought we would get a good laugh if we went out during the night and changed the Biden flag for a Trump banner. But we don’t have the latter, and we need the sleep.
