From Carl: “Hi. It’s a Swedish tradition. She’s known as a St. Lucia girl. As I’ve been told through the years, during the Yul season she goes around town, door to door, passing out treats and drinks. Usually begins on the Winter Solstice, darkest day of the year. She’s also part of religious services. My nieces used to dress up as Lucia girls when they were younger. (Electric candles for safety.)”
