Faces at the Farmers Market: the vegetable peeler

February 29, 2020 by Blogfinger

Live demo at the Sanibel Outlets Market. Hand cutter for veggies. Paul Goldfinger photo. Feb 28, 2020.©

Remember those guys who used to be on TV demonstrating tools to chop, dice and slice veggies?   As a kid I was fascinated by all the ways that you could cut up a carrot or a cabbage.  But those slicing magicians vanished until now when I discovered a  woman with an even better cutter putting on a show for a small crowd at the market.

This slicing device  is held in you hand and is designed not to cut off a finger  or a piece of one.   She could turn a corn on the cob into corn chowder in no time.

The cutter queen captured my attention distracting me from the “local raw honey” next door.
