Finding God on McGregor Boulevard, the long and winding road.

February 19, 2020 by Blogfinger

Drive-by religion in a suburban area of Ft. Myers, Fla.  McGregor Blvd. is a major street.   The electric message is much more prominent at night. The cross street is South Grove.

THE BEATLES.   Paul McCartney wrote “The Long and Winding Road.” in 1970.

He said, ” I like writing sad songs, it’s a good bag to get into because you can actually acknowledge some deeper feelings of your own and put them in it. ”

This sign was placed at the side of the road by the man who lived there. When he died, the new owners planned to remove it, but the neighbors prevailed on him to keep it.  It is seen by many motorists every day no matter which direction they are headed, and, I imagine, it offers different messages to whoever glances in its direction.
