Bridgegate remains on the front page of the Coaster. Asbury whiners have silly tantrums after Neptune decides to continue the closures.

Time for A. Park bigwigs to stop clowning around over Bridgegate.

From the Blogfinger Editorial and Op-Ed Staff:

For the forth time the Coaster has run the Bridgegate matter on their front page.  Mayor  Rizzo and her  Committee have done the right thing and supported the long-standing crime-prevention policy  of nocturnal gate closures across Wesley Lake.  They followed the recommendation of the Neptune P.D., and that should be that!

But no, the whiners in A. Park are jumping up and down over this ridiculous issue.  A.Park Mayor Moor and his mini-me Councilperson Chapwoman are determined to continue fussing over this, although they have seemingly abandoned the threat of a law suit.

Now the Mayor is trying to intimidate the Neptuners by saying that he will demand police reports regarding crimes near the bridges, as if such reports would somehow force a change in policy.  Nonsense!

The Asburians are full of ridiculous statements as recorded by the Qoastericans:

a.  They are shocked. Shocked! that Mayor Rizzo would be decisive without telling those silly A. Parker pols  in advance.

b.  Mayor Moor was so upset that he didn’t get a “heads up” about the decision that he said, “This shows a total lack of class and disingenuousness.”  Which seems to say a lack of disingenuousness.  Boy, is he mad, using such a word!

c. The A. Park Councilperson Chapwoman said that she was “stunned and disappointed.”  Wow, when these people have their feelings hurt, they do have a way with their Qoaster Quotes.

d. Two people were shot in A. Park last night.  It’s time for Moor and Chapwoman to get their priorities straight.

Of course the main reason for Asburians to go to Ocean Grove after midnight is to retrieve their cars. They should have parked on the AP side. Or maybe a few Asburians have something to do on the OG side such as to visit a friend or crash a party. Then there are some Grovers who want to return home after enjoying the nocturnal pleasures of A. Park.

But to pretend that there is some sort of prevailing human rights violation occurring here is ridiculous.

I still don’t understand why residents of Asbury need to come over to OG after midnight? Is something going on in our town that I am unaware of? Someone before mentioned a speakeasy. Let us know if you find out. Thanks

The Coaster has not covered the Asbury Park shootings including the July 4 boardwalk shooting. (Coverup?) Are the Asbury Park politicians oblivious to what is going on in their town? They have so many big problems and they are focusing on the bridges? Based on Asbury Park not addressing their own issues, it appears that they make an even stronger case for keeping the bridges locked to prevent Asbury Park’s problems from spilling into Ocean Grove.
