Songs on a Summer Afternoon: the OG Quartet returns

July 8, 2019 by Blogfinger

By Paul Goldfinger:  text and videos.  Blogfinger.net

Ocean Grove is so fortunate to have a quartet of opera stars “in residence” for this season. All performances are in the Youth Temple in Ocean Grove at 3:30 pm on Sunday afternoons.  (except for August 4 in the Great Auditorium.

We attended the concert held on July 7 entitled “America Sings,” and it was superb.

The singers are Ronald Naldi (tenor), Monica Ziglar  (soprano), Justin Beck  (Bass Baritone) and Katherine Pracht  (Mezzo-Soprano)

Here are portions of two songs on the program:

This segment is from the Sound of Music

This piece by Katherine Pracht is from Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Cats

Remaining recitals:

July 21: Ronald Naldi

July 28:  Monica Ziglar

August 4: Sacred Quartet Recital in the Great Auditorium

August 11; Katherine  Pracht
