Complaints have been lodged regarding firefighters taking photos of themselves with the fire raging in the background, reported by the Asbury Park Press.
Regarding debris removal, here is an APP quote: “The main issue is how best to move the debris from the beach area, across the boardwalk, without damage and then into trucks to be removed,” the Township said in a release.
“Engineers have been contacted regarding this process and how best to affect the removal.”
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an arson investigation. Despite Mr. Gadaleta’s assertion that the Township would like to see the White Whale rebuilt, nothing can be done until the investigation is concluded, and look how long the Warrington has persisted as a burned-out hole in the ground. There also was a law suit holding the Warrington situation hostage. In addition, Mr. Gadaleta raised the possibility that rebuilding the Dunes would require assesment by outside agencies.
