The Airstream all-aluminum RV’s were designed by Hawley Bowlus in the 1930’s in California to meet the need for “leisure travel.” Production was reduced during the depression and then during WWII. But today they are still made and are very collectible. The interiors are are just as interesting as the exteriors.
