    @PG: “Blogfinger
“To Long Time OG Lady: Thank you for the kind review: opinion and music. Did you sit in front of me in French class at RHS?”

No, I’m sorry I did not. However I believe in praise when warranted!
    Continued success.

You know why Blogfinger and supporters are not resting ? It’s because other people who exercise the levers of power ARE taking a rest. And it is not a deserved rest. It is an arrogant We-fest, so indescribable; like the Wesley Lake Omission. Just arrogance.

We don’t need a rest, we need to wake YOU up, dunk you in ice water and have you do your job.

I especially appreciate comments about music—I know that there are quite a few of you out there who are knowledgeable about that topic–either as performers or fans. Please share…..Blogfinger@verizon.net or click on comments at end of each post. Thanks, Paul

PG: what an excellent diatribe. So well thought out. So well explained. Wow

PS: again, just love your music choices.

Parking is about more than parking. The issue goes to our relationships with movers and shakers in town.

Remember when the Camp Meeting Association threatened the town with a law suit over permit parking? They didn’t even want to hear about it in a normal dialogue with residents. When that happened, I did a 180 in my attitude about them, and it had to do with parking.

Remember the Township’s dismissive attitude towards how this issue affects the quality of life for taxpayers and residents in the Grove? That says something about our relationship with Neptune Township..

Remember the Township’s failure to follow State law (RSIS) regarding parking in order to permit condo’s to crowd our streets.? That tells us about the Township Comedy’s attitude towards the law, the Master Plan, and the citizens’ need for less congestion in this town.

And there is the weak-kneed efforts emanating from the Home Groaners. This goes to their effectiveness in our behalf.

And there is the failure of certain entities such as the Chamber of Commercials in town to do anything about parking during their money-making mega events. Today is the flea market. I walked 7 blocks to my house carrying groceries from where I parked. The Chamber doesn’t care–they only take. So we need to be aware of the attitudes of businesses in town towards the residents.

And there is more, so there are good reasons never to take our eyes off the parking ball. It is, in a way, like a crystal ball which gives an indication of what is happening now and in the future.

    Give it a rest Blogfinger,

Summer-time is over and with the exception of a few days (like today) – parking in OG is abundant until the snow cometh. So everyone should put aside those draft letters to the editor on parking, stop reading articles about parking, and hold your complaints too.

Go outside and enjoy the quietude, fresh air and plenty of parking. Move your car 3 to 4 times a day. Park wherever you want. Take up 2 spots at one time. Park 2 feet from the curb. Go to the store and come back 1 hour later and park in the same spot. If you must argue – then do so with your spouse, partner or housemate about who gets to park directly in front of your front door. Enjoy!

Ocean Grove has been a rebellious place. When their forefathers saw impetuous industry, smog, and insouciance, Grovers said no. We want a place of peace, fresh air, harmony and quiet, prayerful reflection.

When all rescuers of every stripe and mind say Victorians homes, people and ideals, they said no, we are not going to all decay.

It’s time to return to that form of self-governance: a rebellion. And there is a way in the law to do it.

It has always been a liberal town, in that I mean not an affinity to a politician, party or money: I mean it in the orignal July 4, 1776 ideal: independence, courage and dedication to the perseverance to a prayerful way of living, believer or not.
