Speaking of bike scenes, you may recall that the visual (1969) for “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head” was Paul Newman giving Katharine Ross a ride on a bicycle. The song was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, and was performed in the movie by BJ Thomas after a number of singers turned it down. Our version was performed by the the composer Burt Bacharach. The song won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 1970. Later it was featured in Forrest Gump and other films.
It was one of the first songs that my sons learned to sing when they were toddlers. Still know it.
