Reserving a space on Delaware Ave. at Mt. Tabor. These people took turns holding the space till a car with Penn. plates arrived that they were holding for. No one challenged the sitters. This one was reading a book. Even the little kid can’t find parking. Blogfinger photo ©

Illegal parking in the orange stripe zone. Same block (next to my house.) No ticket. Crime does pay. Blogfinger photo. ©
These two photos were obtained on one small block (Delaware Ave. between Mt.Tabor and Mt. Hermon Avenues.) on Saturday morning, July 6, 2018—-a gridlock beach weekend. This small block has four cars now including the Pennsylvania vehicle that was reserved for it. The other cars include a warehoused vehicle, the one above with its butt end hanging over the line, and a massive pickup truck. No neighbor is parked on that block.
And here is a true story obtained from the person who experienced it. This person, a middle aged male, came into town with a date, to visit Ocean Grove. He had difficulty parking, but he found a space with a woman standing in the middle. He asked her to move so that he could park. She said, “No. I am saving the space for someone” He asked if that person were present now, and she said, “No.” Again he asked her to move, but she refused.
Because he was half in and half out, traffic was held up, and people started to yell at the woman to move.
When she refused, he called the police. Finally the police came and demanded that she move, and she did. Needless to say, this incident did not result in a favorable opinion of our fair town by these visitors.
If the township won’t do anything to help tax-paying residents find parking, such as establishing a permit parking plan, then the least they can do is enforce existing ordinances. The outrage continues.
Blogfinger.net has been collecting these incidences. You can send us examples. You can use our archive search box at the upper right corner to see more games that people play.

ART GARFUNKEL “In Cars”
“In cars, in cars, in cars
In my car, in my car, in my car, in my car
In cars, in cars
In my car, in my car, in my car, in my car
(I’ve been sittin’, I’ve been sittin’, I’ve been sittin’, I’ve been sittin’)”
Hey Art. Find a parking place in Ocean Grove, and you could have such a good time:
Can we get rid of deadbeat cars that sit over 6,7,8, months, not working, in front of other people’s houses because the offenders also have a handicapped space?
We have two regular patrolman assigned to Ocean Grove 24/7 plus the summer specials in grey.
If you call, there are plenty of cops around to respond.
However, i just move the junk people put in the streets.
Editor’s note: I have usually found the NTPD to be professional and very interested in what the residents have to say. But the policing needs to be increased when we are overwhelmed with tourists. And, they can’t read our minds—call if there is an issue; they do want to hear from us.—-PG
If any part of your vehicle is within the yellow it is illegally parked.
No person shall park any vehicle at any time on any street within a designated painted yellow street box adjacent to an intersection. (Ord. No. 10-38 § 1)
Someone, not police, told me that as long as your tires are not in the yellow area it is legal. True?
Twp. police at Homeowners meting. stress “report violations.”
Anonymity of caller protected.
I did it.
Cop car showed up in minutes.
The scooters on Main! Trash cans, chairs and cones on the side streets. Asbury restaurant workers playing car shuffle at shift change. Warehoused vehicles on practically every street in the North End.
Now that the tenters are in residence parking is at a premium.
