It sounds like we should investigate Bradley Beach.
Most all of the dog folk clean up, as I’ve long observed. But even if they don’t: From Seaside or so northwards, tidal flow is south to north.
So AP (or OG) fecal matter very, very quickly becomes someone else’s problem. Pure science—-south to north.
I agree with the commenter ‘retired’.
Going to the beach means walking, sitting, and sometimes ingesting sand; dog fecal matter/urine is not sanitary.
Anyone interested in bringing their dog to the beach only has to walk to Asbury; they welcome dogs there.

The dog owners who go to the dog beach are a special bunch, They are watchful that everyone cleans up. Your point about fecal counts in the ocean is absurd.
After a rain, the runoff from a dog beach would have the potential to close Ocean Grove swimming beaches due to high fecal matter counts in the water. And don’t tell me that dog owners will clean up after their dogs, I am tired of cleaning poop off of sidewalks and my grass. Not a good idea for OG. (And I am a dog owner!)
