1. A little birdie told me that there is optimism on Seaview Avenue that the Park View Inn might soon be demolished. We know that the Parkview, a world class crappy derelict building is up for sale. But what is it good for? Nothing but the scrap pile. It’s time for that ugly pile of dung to finally turn to dust.
2. Do you remember Dr. Cindy Bell, well we met her today during the sale? I asked Cindy if she accepts Medicare, but she reminded me that she has a doctorate in music. She and Mom (Shirley) and her elusive and ever popular dad Ted were recalling that the Park View was once a lovely hotel owned by Shirley’s family. Cindy said that she had enough of articles that emphasize the PV’s sad current situation. So the rumor is that Cindy will write a piece for Blogfinger about the Park View in its prime.
The last time we saw Cindy was when she was leading the band (i.e. conducting the orchestra) at the Choir Festival, but maybe now she will be a citizen reporter for Blogfinger.
3. I think we got the scoop on the Warrington, another crummy place in the Grove. We have received reports that workers are removing debris from the interior. It seems that the owner is rehabbing the old hotel into some sort of modern boarding house, in keeping to its historic role. We are told that it will have 40 “rooms.” So we have to wait till more rumors (or preferably facts) roll in about the Warrington, but the work now going on seems like a positive development.
4. The beer garden in Asbury Park along Wesley Lake is causing some issues across the pond in terms of parking. However, that place is gaining a reputation for excellence in dining, drinking and entertainment. We hope to look into it. Meanwhile, as more Grovers go to that massive venue, more Grovers will be coming back after midnight and will run into the infamous locked bridge situation, forcing them to go via the beach/boardwalk to get home. The rumor is that complaints may mount, causing this difficult issue to resurface soon.
FREDDIE AND THE DREAMERS:

SIMON : The Warrington owners at the zoning meeting in Neptune stated that they will have 20 rooms. They stated it will be a HIGH CLASS HOTEL AND MOST OF THE VISITORS WILL BE FROM NEW YORK. Seeing is believing??? The State closed him down with 47 violations as a bording house.
He never answer to any of them because he is know making it a Hotel. You can not make this up. You all know what happened to the QUEEN HOTEL.
So the Whitfield is closing sometime in the near future, so they say, only to have that replaced by a re-worked Warrington? 40 rooms in an even more remote location with no access. Is this going to be another, better than what’s there scenario? Brilliant!
I live on Mt. Carmel Way and will not be able to park my car in front or in the vicinity. We must get residential parking signs on the street or be issued them. I have been a homeowner for 32 years and now it’s going to get worse.
CLOSE THE GATES AT 10PM instead of midnight as this would deter customers from parking on our streets.
