If you grew up in Bergen County, as I did, we came to the Shore which consisted of Pt Pleasant, Seaside Heights and Lavalette. We went on the rides, ate junk food, body surfed, got tan, and chased girls. Sometimes we had good results, sometimes no results, sometimes joyful results, and sometimes disappointments. When it came to romance, the Shore could be a bitter-sweet experience. PG

Great pic Jean. Our family used to vacation in Pt. Pleasant. Remember the taffy making process that could be seen at Jenkinson’s. They had the best orange aide. The oranges were piled high in large pyramids awaiting your order. Made fresh and delish! Did you ever ride the Beach Train. Nostalgia at it’s best.
