July Neighborhood Watch Report

Hello to all!

 

There were 502 calls for service in Ocean Grove for the month of July 2014.  These calls include MV Stops, alarm calls, first aid/fire calls, suspicious persons reports, disputes and other police related issues.  The following are some of these incidents:

There were 22 reported motor vehicle accidents during the month.

On 7/1/2014, patrols took a report of five to six juveniles in the area stealing bicycles.  A Broadway resident reported two unlocked bicycles stolen.

On 7/1/2014, a Webb Ave. resident reported her unlocked bicycle stolen from her rear yard.  A second Webb Ave. resident reported his unlocked bicycle stolen from the side of his residence.

On 7/2/2014, a locked bicycle was stolen from a Main Ave. property.

On 7/3/2014, patrols arrested a Neptune Twp. man for possession of marijuana

On 7/3/2014, patrols took a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle parked on Abbott Ave

On 7/3/2014, an unlocked bicycle was stolen from a Pilgrim Pathway property.

On 7/3/2014, Quality of Life officers arrested a Neptune Twp. man for possession of drug paraphernalia and active warrants.

On 7/3/2014, an unlocked bicycle was stolen from a Broadway property.

On 7/5/2014, two bicycles were stolen from a Main Ave. residence.

On 7/5/2014, patrols arrested an Asbury Park man for a theft and possession of drug paraphernalia on Main Ave.

On 7/6/2014, patrols took a report of a damaged lifeguard stand on the Embury Ave. beach

On 7/7/2014, an unlocked bicycle was stolen from a Olin St. property

On 7/7/2014, a bicycle was stolen from a Surf Ave. property.

On 7/8/2014, patrols arrested a Bradley Beach man for a burglary to an Olin St. business.

On 7/8/2014, patrols arrested an Asbury Park woman for multiple counts of possession of CDS on Stockton Ave.

On 7/12/2014, patrols took a report of a theft of money from a Pilgrim Pathway residence.

On 7/14/2014, patrols responded to a Broadway residence for a reported fire as a result of a lightning strike.  The fire was extinguished by patrols.

On 7/15/2014, patrols took a report of a stolen surfboard from an interior common hallway of a multi-room dwelling on Webb Ave.

On 7/17/2014, Quality of Life officers arrested a Manalapan woman and a Freehold man for narcotic related offenses in the area of Surf Ave. and Beach Ave.

On 7/18/2014, three unlocked bicycles were removed from an Ocean Ave. rental property.

On 7/19/2014, patrols arrested a Colts Neck man for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief in the area of New York Ave. and Main Ave.

On 7/20/2014, patrols took a report of a stolen surfboard from a Clark Ave. property.

On 7/20/2014, an unlocked motor vehicle was entered on Webb Ave.  A Bluetooth radio connector was stolen.

On 7/22/2014, an unlocked motor vehicle was entered and an iPod was removed from a vehicle on Stockton Ave.

On 7/24/2014, Quality of Life arrested an Ocean Twp. man for possession of CDS on Main St. and Stockton Ave.

On 7/25/2014, patrols took a report of an unlocked bicycle was stolen from a New York Ave. residence.

On 7/25/2014, patrols arrested two juveniles from Neptune Twp. and Asbury Park for bicycle theft on the boardwalk

On 7/27/2014, patrols took a report of an unlocked bicycle theft form an Ocean Ave. hotel.

On 7/28/2014, patrols arrested a Massachusetts man for possession of marijuana at the North End.

On 7/28/2014, patrols arrested a Jackson Twp. man for possession of drug paraphernalia and receiving stolen property on Ocean Ave. and Surf Ave.

On 7/29/2014, patrols took a report of two unsecured bicycles removed from in front of a Main Ave. business.

Have a great summer and please remember to lock doors, leave lights on and keep valuables out of sight.  Please document your bicycle’s serial number and if possible take a picture of it in the event it goes missing. Most importantly, call us immediately if there are any issues whatsoever.
