No, the duck is not a relative. Cousin Bob was hoping for some duck soup, but got this photo instead. I have never photographed a duck because when I hear the word “duck.” I get under the table. Thanks, Bob ——–Cuz. Paul
BURL IVES “Little White Duck.”
Pat: If you listen carefully, you will hear that it quacks like a duck. But maybe Bob will tell us if he can tell the difference. Sometimes people call me “duck” but they actually mean “doc.” I actually prefer “doctor,” but “doc” is OK. In the Navy, they call the corpsmen “doc” which left me with “sir.” But sometimes, if someone calls me “doc” I say, “A doc has webbed feet.”—-PG.
ps Jokes aside, I think you are correct.
Are you sure this is a duck?
The long, pointed bill looks more like a seagull.
I think a duck’s is shorter and wider (rounded).
It’s a little hard to see from this distance and at this angle.
