NORAH JONES AND THE FOO FIGHTERS: “Virginia Moon”
We now live in a throw-away world…… Knock it down and rebuild or leave it empty. There were so many beautiful buildings that are now gone, just signs of the time I guess….
I agree with “oldtimer”, the threshold between the Grove and Asbury have never looked worse in my over 55 years of being a “Grover”!!
I believe the redeveloper is obligated by its redevelopment agreement
with Asbury Park to rehab it.
NICE SHOT FINGER!!
Given that nothing meaningful has been done for the building in years, and that it is much deteriorated after Sandy, I vote that they want it to fall down.
For something like $150K, they could make it a fun and interesting passsage between OG and AP. They could paint it creatively on the outside, polish up/fix the floor, improve the lighting and comission some murals on the inside walls. Instead….decay. The threshold between these towns have never looked worse in my 22 years here.
They’ll probably tear it down eventually like they do every other historic landmark, and judging by recent trends in the town, it will probably be made into a dance club and/or cocktail lounge.
Anyone hear of what is planned for that building? They just waiting for it to fall down?
