Letter to the Editor:

Paul – take a look at this Region II Outreach Video from FEMA.  I am just shocked that the beach, streets, boardwalk & pier scenes were shot in Ocean Grove, yet they will not give OG a penny for rebuilding.  Too ironic for words !

Editor’s Note: “Ironic” is good;  how about “chutzpah” or “some nerve.”   On the other hand, it is a useful video to watch.

Maybe someone has the time and energy to contact NYC Film producers/Independnts, and offer them a great location in turn for some repairs.

Maybe we can get Woody to film here again. Got a new cross on the Auditorium last time. Perhaps this time it can be a boardwalk.

Sue—NYC collects hefty fees for the permits to shoot films on city streets and locations.

What an interesting use of a recreational-only facility to shoot a public safety piece

This adds irony and insult to injury!

any chance we can “charge” them for the filming in OG? LOL. kind of like how NYC gets paid when movies are shot on location? I think a fair price would be exactly what we need to fix the boardwalk!

First let me say the woman spokesperson sounded like she was selling one of those TV commercial drugs that have dozens of side effects. Oblivious to the meaning of the text she was reading. So nice of them to make full use of the Fishing Pier for there shots.

Here’s my main comment doc……….FEMA &company bunch of hypocrite’s……………….That’s OK Groovers………Everything will be repaired in good time…………………..by the sea.by the sea by the beautiful sea.
