We were over at the “shoe exhibit” where we met Barbara Brennan, a photographer who was walking around the site, taking pictures. We are starting a new idea at Blogfinger—obtaining audio interviews with Ocean Grovers. Barbara was kind enough to be our first subject and to share her feelings about the exhibit with us. Very well said, thank you Barbara.
Very moving, I saw the original version of this (not sure who set it up), it was combat boots representing soldiers who had died in our then 2 wars, now 2 1/2?
It’s hard to talk about something that gets you “choked up.”
Hope these kindly donated shoes, flags, and the memories this memorial brings back serve to strenghen our own souls, not weaken them.
