Posts Tagged ‘Town Hall meeting on Saturday April 6’

By Paul Goldfinger

On Wednesday afternoon, April 3, we saw no work being done at the beachfront.  I think they are waiting for materials to rebuild the beach offices.  Fencing  and plywood wind barriers separate the beach from Ocean Avenue on almost the full length of the avenue until you get near the North End.  Some new access ramps and stairs have been installed.  Many pilings are visible.  Large sand dunes are present on the beach and at the North End.  We will be hearing an updated report at the Saturday meeting (see below).

On Saturday, April 6, at 9:00 a.m., there will be a Town Meeting at the Youth Temple (across from the Great Auditorium.)  The meeting is open to the public. The event will kick off a new ambitious fund raising community effort called The TOGETHER Campaign. The progress and challenges involved in rebuilding the beach front, boardwalk and Great Auditorium roof will be discussed.  In attendance will be Neptune officials, press, OGCMA officials and the TOGETHER committee.  It will be an open forum, and questions from the audience will be welcome.
