Paul:
Lying in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia on Port Phillip Bay is Brighton Beach.
A small beach contains what at first might be mistaken as the tent structures in Ocean Grove. However these are simple storage huts (“bathing boxes”) for items that you might like to have for a beach day— from beach chairs, picnic tables, umbrellas to your favorite barbecue.
The beach boxes are considered historic, with Victorian architectural features, and no one can alter theses structures without permission from a special committee in town. These boxes are rentals by the day or season with Brighton Beach approximately 35 miles northeast of Ocean Grove………………..Australia.

Editor’s Note: Brighton Beach in Brooklyn, NYC, is a seaside community which was developed at about the same time as the Australian Brighton Beach, 1840-1860. About 75,000 people live there and it consists mostly of Russian speaking immigrants. —PG
