“Guacamole comes from Guacamala.”
You might want to check our recent article (Nov 17, 2012) on guacamole, where the truth is revealed including her guac recipe. On Sunday I watched “Girls” the HBO show where I learn all about social mores among young adults in New York City. Much of what I learn is X-rated, but I did find out that they refer to guacamole as “guac.”
“I need a day to decompose.”
Well, how can I refuse that request? She meant, of course, “to decompress,” but even that is weird. Is she a deep sea diver? I know that she is not because she won’t even go into the water in Ocean Grove.
The funny thing is that she rarely says goofy things, but something happened this week with two prize quotes. I told her to come to her senses and write a recipe for Blogfinger, so she promises to do her famous heart-healthy chicken cacciatore. —PG

Eileen: Jersey girls do pump gas.

Guac man at the Farmer’s market. I’ve never seen a business devoted only to guac. He couldn’t make it fast enough. PG photo
The gas pumping is in Florida as is the farmers’ market. But when spring arrives check out the farmers’ market at the corner of Main Street and Sunset in Asbury Park.
I thought it was illegal. Also, where, when is the farmer’s market?
Eileen, STOP pumping gas! If one Jersey Girl does it, the next thing ya know, we’ll all be havin’ to do it!
