Are 12 years of the Town-Wide Yard Sale, an innovation that has fueled neighborliness, happiness, and friendships over and over again, not worth recognition?
HOA ladies: You need to get out of the accolade business because you are biased. The Coaster looked at that meeting from June 24 and found it to be light weight. But that reporter was looking at it with foggy glasses. Gender bias was obvious.
Appoint a fair coed committee to offer yearly recognition for creative ideas which spread light in the Grove as Betsy and Katy did and as the 12 year old Town-Wide Yard Sale has done over and over. And if more than one worthy recipient exists, and there are, recognize all of them. This should not be a contest. Choosing only one defines bias. (Get a dictionary)

Shame on all the HOA trustees for turning a blind eye to this abuse of Ocean Grove.

Why don’t they work on combatting gender bias and promoting racial diversity in our 90% white community? Why don’t they do a better and less biased job in dealing with the Camp Meeting Association?
Next week they will have a program presented by a “60 Minutes” producer. That is similar to the author who told amusing anecdotes about OG history last time.
The Groaners need to get serious and do it with fairness, honesty, and facts. Leave the baloney on Main Avenue.
