I decided to go to Founders’ Park to see if the fountain had been de-pressed and un-sealed, and it had. Dusk is a good time for photography.
As I approached the fountain I met Ann Fallon who lives across the street. She volunteers to check the water levels, and she did. “It’s fine,” she said.
So I looked for a place to stand to get the best light at dusk. Finally I decided to face east, and as I began shooting, an apparition in blue appeared–it was little Louise who is visiting in the Grove and wanted to see the fountain. We shook hands and then she went about posing for pictures with the newly resurrected fountain.
Louise’s mom was laughing as her daughter posed: “She won’t do that for me,” she said as she held her cell phone.
