Paul Goldfinger. 5/23/23, She was walking down a connecting path between Asbury Avenue and Wesley Lake. She was carrying packages. I snapped a photo in an instant and walked by her. She was too focused to see me.

She had a bit of a smile on her face and I thought, “She’s carrying food to a party.”
I like to stroll around that Asbury Avenue lakeside neighborhood. There are some quirky spaces and people over there.
I bumped into Vince Cannavo who lives by Wesley Lake. Vince helps us with the Town-Wide Yard Sale. He said that the loud music coming from A. Park on Sunday didn’t bother him.
There I met another Asbury Avenue neighbor, Tim. He didn’t mind either. “My friend is a drummer in the next band, and we are excited to see him,” he said. Tim is one of those young OG Underground types who lives around by the lake. No wonder he likes that music!
As I stood by the lake making a video, an older woman walked up to me and stood there, keeping me company, watching the action across the lake and shaking her head. “I live a block away and I had to see what was causing that ruckus.”
So we became quick collaborators : We commiserated and then both went our separate ways in a southerly direction.
As I walked back from Lake Avenue to Asbury Avenue I saw the Amazon truck: it was occupying the entire street, and rushing to it, to allow a car to get by, was that skinny girl. She had no packages now. She jumped into the truck with that smile still present and off she went.
