Hi Fat Al: Yes. The Queen knighted him at Buckingham Palace in 2007. The blind musician was 91 when he died. I’ve seen him perform in the past. He often worked with Mel Torme. Sir George was a gentleman and a unique jazz pianist.
A lovely tune. I do like some George Shearing. He was a knight?
