Re: North End lawlessness
February 23, 2022.
Since you mentioned the North End Redevelopment Plan, there is a meeting tonight at the Planning Board to permit a continuation of this corrupt development that has violated everyone’s civil rights by violating the 14th amendment.
The 14th amendment requires equal protect. This extends to equal zoning that requires by law that all development in OG be held to single family uses. In other words, hotel uses cannot by County, state or federal laws be a permitted use in the Historic district of OG. Neither can townhouse uses be a permitted use either.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Planning Board Agenda for the ZOOM meeting tonight FEb 23, 2022.:
PB19/05 – Request for One (1) Year Extension of Site Plan Approval – OG North End Development, LLC – Block 101, Lots 3 & 4 and Parts of Lots 2 & 5 and End of Beach Avenue – Applicant is requesting a 1-year extension of time in accordance with MLUL and the Township’s Land Development Ordinance for Site Plan approval which had been received by this Board on February 26, 2020. It has been indicated there were significant delays in obtaining the necessary permit from NJDEP which has finally been issued and the Applicant is currently working with the Historic Preservation Commission to obtain a Certificate of Appropriateness relative to design. Request has been submitted by OG North End Development, LLC through their attorney, Jennifer S. Krimko, Esq.
EDITOR: A Re-Develpment zoning designation, as exists in Ocean Grove at our North End, requires that the Township manage the project. In other words, the Township Committee, elected to represent we the people, should be making public all the latest information about the North End Plan
We should be able to go to the web site and read what the issues are that would require a one year extension. This lack of transparency is disgraceful and shameful. And by not knowing the truth, we are left to imagine what the problems are. This is not the way to run a democratic local government.

Underground garage – very dangerous undertaking: storm waters flooding in as the ocean surges during bad hurricanes, ocean water table, the building shifting/sinking in unstable sandy ground…… so many red flags. But who are we to question approvals by Neptune boards and the DEP?

I just watched the meeting and the unanimous vote was to extend the period to obtain various approvals for one year. Also, it was announced that the DEP had approved the underground garage “yesterday.”

I asked at the TC meeting (in January, 2022 I think?) to provide a link to everything that has to do with the North End Development on their website. I pointed out, that eventually, there will be road closures, etc, that will need to be posted. They agreed to do it. But, it’s still not there.

We need a truck convoy protest to the HPC meeting just like the Canadians are doing.
