Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Kaufmann residence in 1935 for a family from Philadelphia. It is a marvelous place to visit. Located in a woodsy area in Mill Run, southwest Pennsylvania, it has recently undergone restoration. Read about it. See link below.
When we went there, there were many photographers. It is considered one of the most important works of American architecture. We learned that Wright designed all the furniture inside and he even wanted to design the clothes for the lady of the house. Wikipedia on Falling Water
ART GARFUNKEL. “So Long, Frank Lloyd Wright.” This song was released in 1970.
If interested in unusual architecture in NJ there is in Willingboro a Futuro home (AKA UFO home) . Designed in the 1960’s there weren’t many built and aren’t many left . Small house that was round , has multiple round windows all about and is raised on columns . Very neat looking .
Thank you for this fascinating story of a Wright house in NJ.
There is a Frank Lloyd Wright just up the road a bit in the tiny town of Millstone, Somerset County which had been in the news of late: http://www.nj.com/somerset/index.ssf/2013/02/after_years_of_flooding_owners.html

Hi Paul,
If you are interested in Frank Lloyd Wright’s different buildings, you should plan to visit Florida Southern College. there are more buildings built by FLW together, then at any other place in the world. He was out of work in the late ’30’s and the president of the college, was a friend and he invited him to come down and build the campus. the chapel is beautiful. Frank brought special machines with him and they made a different kind of brick for the buildings. the college is located on I-4 between Orlando and Tampa.
