BEVERLY KENNEY “Violets for Your Furs” was written in 1941 by Dennis and Adair. It was first recorded that year by the Tommy Dorsey orchestra with vocal by a 26 year old Frank Sinatra.
Beverly Kenney was 24 and a rising jazz star when she recorded “Violets for Your Furs” in 1956. She changed the word “your” to “my” to avoid any gender confusion. Sinatra owned the word “your” in that song.
Beautiful lush plant. Lots of love and sweet talk to make it respond like that.
